It’s been a lot longer than planned since I last did a diary post! So many adventures which haven’t fully gone documented, which feels a shame.
So, here are two for the price of one. January 2023 I managed two long, full, film days.
One of the covid-casualties was a gig I had been going to go to with Mx Valleycat. Heilung. I think it was rescheduled three times in the end, and then a late venue shift!
At it’s simplest in numbers.
In 2022 I did 16 film days, doing a total of 90 clips with 20 different people.
Landmarks among the way included filming the 400th clip I’d been in.
It’s been a ride, and so a little look back at each month.
I prefer to have a camera operator/videographer but this isn’t always possible (even when possible – an additional angle has benefits) and so sometimes positioning all available cameras/phones/etc has good results.
I want to share tips and pitfalls of multi camera editing
Content share shoots are extremely common.
In these two (or more) performers/creators/whatever-
The collaborative approach is also often a way to be introduced to someone else’s fanbase, which can give a publicity boost.
However, content share shoots can also be a source of frustration. For example if someone feels that what they got out of the day wasn’t representative of what they put in, or confusion over the release of clips.
There are also a lot of inexperienced chancers who try to gain kink or sex under the guise of “content share shoot”.
My following tips and suggestions are non-exhaustive. But, should help create a successful shoot.
It’s been a while since I did a diary post (or blog in general, sorry!) but this is one with so much adventure it feels like it shouldn’t be left out.
There is a lot of back story, so this might take some pulling together.
In 2019 there was an event called Messtival organised by Penny Banks.
Messtival was a film festival, and awards event, for splosh films.
You know when you’re at a club or party and someone catches your eye? You think, “Wow, they look amazing”, but then for any one of a million reasons you end up leaving having not said anything?
Well. That happens to me all the time.
But sometimes you end up following each other on Twitter and throw your hat in the ring when you see they’re looking at getting into filming and… boom… first film day of 2022.
I first met Lady Valeska at a filming and Femdom event in Evesham back in 2019.
At the time my clip store was in it’s infancy, but she was really kind enough to let me use a one-on-one clip we’d done for her OnlyFans in my store – and that was both nice and unexpected.
Not just that but of course she was someone whose company I’d enjoyed being around over those couple of days.
So, there was always hope we’d do more again.
I know there’s a running joke about the “Hey, we should do something someday” and the amount of time it takes to, well, do something. But, I think meeting Miss Jessica Hyde was certainly on the excessive front time wise – at 18 months.
To be fair to both of us, there was a pandemic. But the day we both met was glorious, but also a little nerve wracking.
A bit of a trinity today.
Filming with Foxtress (our third film day together), Goddess Cleo (who we’ve talked about filming a few times in the past it’s just never happened) and Mistress Annaliese (on her first ever film day).
So, it’s cosy. Probably the most people I’ve seen in one room in.. ooh… a while.
Filming, and other opportunities, through the pandemic had been sparse.
A lot felt weird to diary about, so I didn’t, but many were low risk and low key. Literally myself, the lady and a tripod.
Today we have a camera operator – so there’s 3 of us!
Obviously this is a kinda follow-on from my very popular, ‘So you want to be a film slave’ blog which I also feel is also essential to read.
Certainly a lot of points I will have missed is because they are in there.
From the top. I’m again getting a sharp rise in folk asking about “getting in” to filming.
I’m not sure if they’ve looked at what is happening in the wider society and think some of this doesn’t apply to or affect the adult industry. *But it does*
I believe that the lockdown and restrictions has had people either rue missed opportunities (there’s a lesson in there!) or perhaps felt this is where their biggest chance of getting kink going “when things resume” is.
I’ve found over the last 12 months or so a growing number of people who’ve expressed interest in filming – but trying to sort it out is somewhat trickier than it should seem.
I’ve been plotting a few regular trips to London this year, for a mixture of music and fetish events.
So, the opportunity to go to a concert I’d wanted to see and try to arrange some filming around it seemed a good idea.
In reality, ended up with one day filming out of 3 possible days – but it was certainly a quality over quantity situation when that one day was with AMY WYNTERS.
